MEET THE PROS
BRONCO + JO HUGE
We are Bronco and Jo Huge and live in Cashmere. We have been married 35 years. In 2011, I (Jo) was diagnosed with breast cancer which began a journey that Bronco and I would walk together. It would become a time of drawing together intimately in our marriage. My strength came from the Lord as I soon realized all my fears and anxiety needed to turn into hope, joy, and love. I took the focus off me since I had the hope of Christ and instead encouraged others along the way with a smile, word of encouragement or a plate of brownies! After a year of surgery, chemo, and radiation, my cancer returned and the two of us prayerfully discussed the option of a double mastectomy. This time the reality of life and death seemed more serious. It was a long, hard, painful year but I am confident that God has more He wants to do through me! I have become more intentional, especially in relationships.
We have been on staff for 37 years with Youth Dynamics, a para-church youth ministry in the PNW. My heart has been to love on young moms and I love doing that as a Mentor Mom at Wenatchee MOPS. If you would like to hear more about our journey with cancer, let us know.
