The trademark of faith is to stand on the brink of agony and laugh. The Bible really has no category for pessimistic Christians. Psalm 16 pictures the victorious God of Joy in the person of the Son, Jesus, who stood on the brink of the ultimate agony - the cross - enduring it for the joy set before Him. Following Him is a journey of joy.
