The Work Of Preparing A People

The emphasis shifts in chapter 7 of Nehemiah from the work of preparing a place for the people, to the work of preparing a people for the place. Now that the wall is built, the focus is on rebuilding the hearts and unity of the people. Nehemiah calls for a census as he seeks to build a deeper unity on the shared heritage of the people who have already been brought back from captivity. In this sermon Pastor Adam shares five leadership principles and reminds us that God is committed to two things with his people: bringing his people home and making his people holy.
