We’ve been married 34 years, have 2 adult children who are married and have experienced life from many different perspectives.  Our kids and their spouses love Jesus and that’s the most important thing (and really, the only thing that  matters at the end of the day).  But we both worked when our kids were young and had some help with child care and so we have some thoughts and experience on that situation. Our kids went to a Christian school on the west side and we lived through some of the teen age drama stuff that today’s culture can throw at our youth.  We experienced it all...the ‘push-&-pull’ with grades, sports, work and social/dating  challenges. Looking back, we know God’s grace surrounded our family and kids in particular during those teenage years.

Our marriage is strong today but had to survive some rough waters when Steve put work before God, Strel and family. Thankfully, the Lord knew what we needed and placed Godly friends and family around us when we needed help the most.
Raising well-mannered, God-pleasing kids today can be challenging.  Let’s be perfectly clear....the enemy seeks to steal and destroy our youth!!  But your sacrifices and effort are totally worth it!
