MEET THE PROS
MIKE + LISA YOUNG
We are Michael and Lisa Young and we live in Manson. We have been married 23 years. We
have five children; two that are in college, one in high school, one in middle school and one in
grade school. We began our family shortly after college in 1999. We received a double
blessing in our first pregnancy because we were having twins. Things went well for most of the
pregnancy until the final weeks, when preterm labor started. Lisa was rushed to an NICU center
in Spokane Washington where she gave birth to 29 week baby girls. On May 18, 1999
Mackenzie and Emmy Mae were born and were swiftly taken to incubators and plugged into
devices to sustain their lives. Seven weeks later they were discharged from the hospital to
come home with us. Life was great, Our Family was Together. In early October Mackenzie
went to be with her Lord. That is not the whole the story, our journey through grief and living with grief is difficult.
But Wehave much to be thankful for and Jesus has grown, sustained, and encouraged each of us
meeting us individually as we needed. We know Jesus makes all things new, we are happy to
visit with anyone experiencing or have experienced a difficult loss and you feel in need of
support.
