VISION
PROS is designed to make the collective wisdom of the people of Grace City Church more readily available and easily accessible. The heart behind PROS is simple: we believe everyone needs help, no one has all the answers, and we’re all better when we ask for help and learn from others. PROS is one way we facilitate life-giving touch-points where stories are shared and wisdom is gained over a good meal and life-giving conversation.
WHAT PROS IS
The goal is networking people with people to facilitate a one-time dinner experience where life and wisdom are shared. Organic in structure, self-directed by design, PROS will help you succeed at what matters to you.
WHAT PROS ISN'T
PROS is not for crisis counseling or ongoing coaching (though those are important!) PROS is not a class you take. PROS is a low-pressure, highly relational one-time experience to encourage being pro-active in gaining wisdom and skill for specifics areas of life.
WHO PROS IS FOR
It’s been said that fools make excuses, but the wise make plans. PROS is for anyone who wants to live proactively by making a plan for success. PROS is for anyone who values learning from other’s stories and gaining wisdom for success from those further down the trail of life. In short, PROS is for the hungry, the humble, the curious, and the learners.
HOW IT WORKS
THE FIRST STEP is simple. Search under a topic of interest (we suggest selecting a different topic every quarter…be pro-active!) Find a couple or individual of interest. Reach out to them through the “connect†button and they will respond to you within 3-5 days to set up a time to meet.
THE SECOND STEP is fun. Peruse the list of questions from our sample list to get your brain going, then show up for lunch or dinner and start asking questions! Remember, no question is off limits. This time is designed for you to learn. Pick their brain. Ask the question you’ve always wanted but never thought you could (if you need help coming up with good questions, we’ve put together a list of sample questions here!)
HOW TO ASK GOOD QUESTIONS
The key to learning is knowing how to ask good questions. To that end, we have put together sample-questions for every life-category. Peruse the list. Find 6-8 that apply. Write down some of your own. Then come ready to fire away and see where it goes from there.
